About The Position

Firestone Walker is seeking a Junior Accountant to contribute to daily accounting and gain exposure to the brewery’s broader operations. This dynamic role is suited to a fast learner who takes ownership, tackles challenges, and wants to grow with the company. The position offers an opportunity to work as part of the accounting team and advance toward a Staff Accountant role.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a similar field of study.
At least 1 year of experience, or an internship, in audit or accounting.
Experience building and using complex Excel workbooks.
Attention to detail.
Proactive communication and willingness to ask questions.
Ability to stay organized while managing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Team-oriented initiative and willingness to support the team.
Curiosity and interest in understanding the work and broader business context.

Nice To Haves

Experience with an ERP system; training will be provided.

Responsibilities

Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations for transactions including retail operations, expense allocations, payments, and inventory movements.
Review inventory count sheets, unit conversions, and related adjustments.
Manage certain bank and payment processes.
Contribute to preparing tax filings and internal reports.
Analyze, investigate, and document account and margin variances.
Drive ongoing process improvements to improve quality and efficiency.
