About The Position

The Nothing Bundt Cakes (NbC) Joy Creator creates a warm, welcoming environment for guests, offers creative solutions for celebrations, and sells cakes and related merchandise. Requirements

• Applicants must be at least 16 years old.
• Exhibit high energy and strong interpersonal skills, including friendliness, helpfulness, positivity, patience, social confidence, and communication.
• Enjoy interacting with diverse people and excel at providing a superior guest experience.
• Multitask while maintaining meticulous attention to detail.
• Be diligent, organized, and self-motivated.
• Understand and carry out oral and written instructions, and request clarification when needed.
• Be comfortable with new technology and able to operate a point-of-sale system.
• Understand basic arithmetic, perform calculations when needed, and provide monetary change using U.S. currency.

Nice To Haves

• Previous guest service experience at a bakery, restaurant, or retail store is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet walk-in and phone guests warmly, determine their interests and needs, and follow NbC Sweet Steps of Service.
• Maintain product knowledge and explain cake distinctions, sizes, flavors, pricing, promotions, and complementary retail merchandise.
• Suggest additional merchandise such as balloons, candles, and cards for celebrations.
• Process guest orders accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale system, and invite guests to join the NbC Email Club.
• Maintain a clean and organized bakery, including routine sweeping, mopping, and cleaning surfaces as needed.
• Replenish retail merchandise and the cake display case to maintain a strong visual presentation.
• Assist the Crafter with cake decorations and packaging supplies as needed.
• Follow health and safety guidelines and NbC policies and procedures, including dress code and personal hygiene standards.
• Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality.
