About The Position

At Nothing Bundt Cakes, Joy Creators are guest services representatives who welcome guests and help make bakery visits joyful and memorable. They assist guests with choosing cakes, flavors, decorations, and related merchandise for celebrations, and ensure orders are completed accurately and on time. The role combines guest service, point-of-sale transactions, cake assembly and decorating, inventory, and bakery cleanliness. Joy Creators are expected to uphold the bakery’s service standards, work collaboratively, and contribute to a welcoming environment. The position requires flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, according to business needs. Applicants must be at least 16 years old. No formal education or work experience is required, though prior guest service experience is a plus. Employees must obtain and maintain a Washington State Food Handlers permit.

Requirements

Responsibilities

Greet walk-in and phone guests warmly, determine their interests and needs, and follow the Sweet Steps of Service.
Maintain product knowledge and help guests choose cakes, flavors, and decorations.
Recommend complementary merchandise, including candles and cards.
Process guest orders accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale system, and invite guests to join the Email Club and Loyalty program.
Maintain a clean, organized bakery, including sweeping, mopping, and cleaning countertops, windows, and other surfaces.
Replenish cake displays and maintain a strong visual presentation.
Conduct daily inventories and replenish retail merchandise.
Manage cake case temperature, restocking, and cleaning according to standards.
Assemble cake orders to guest specifications while following decorating, quality, and hygiene standards.
Prioritize work to complete orders by their scheduled pickup or delivery times.
Prepare decorations and packaging materials in advance, inventory supplies, and document low inventory for reorder.
Clean, sanitize, and restock the front-of-house and crafting station, and complete opening and closing checklists.
Inspect frosted and decorated cakes for quality and notify management of issues; log wasted cake with the date and reason.
Pull cake products from the chiller and refrigerator using FIFO.
Follow health and safety guidelines, company policies and procedures, dress code, and personal hygiene standards.
Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality.
Assist team members as needed to support a productive and efficient work environment.
