About The Position

CDN is a recognized industry leader in the energy services sector, offering full-service expertise in Electrical & Instrumentation maintenance, renewables/solar, major projects, combustion & emissions reduction, and measurement. We are looking to hire Red Seal Journeyperson Electricians for the LNGC project in Kitimat, BC, working on-site. The role involves installing and maintaining various electrical systems and equipment, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance, and performing scheduled and preventative maintenance. The position requires interpreting technical drawings, understanding electrical codes, and testing electrical components. Administrative tasks, material ordering, and QAQC documentation are also part of the responsibilities. Relocation to Kitimat is expected after 3 months, with relocation assistance provided.

Requirements

• Electrical Journeyperson.
• A valid Class 5 license with a clean driver abstract.
• Valid H2S, First Aid, OSSA Fall Protection, Aerial Work Platform, CSO, and CSTS.
• Ability to work in various working conditions ranging from outdoors to indoors in a variety of weather conditions and working from heights as needed.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in the Oil and Gas industry in construction or maintenance is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain EMT piping systems, electronic heat trace, batteries, voltage regulators, MCC equipment, and VFD’s.
• Ensure proper execution of electrical lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures to maintain safety and regulatory compliance.
• Perform scheduled and preventative maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimize downtime.
• Assist and/or direct interpreting drawings, circuit diagrams, and electrical code specifications to better help execute electrical installation and troubleshooting.
• Understand and inter-operate the most current Canadian electrical code book and exercise the rules when applicable.
• Understand and execute basic circuit fundamentals, alternating current circuit properties, heating and cooling systems, magnetic control and switching circuits, three phase systems, transformers, machines, control and switching/PLC, fire alarm systems, red seal programs, industry network, and applications of electronics.
• Test electrical equipment and components for current, voltage and OHMS.
• Responsible for all administrative, material ordering, and QAQC documents directly associated with the project at hand.
• Other duties as required.
