About The Position

Acuren is seeking a professional, energetic and forward-thinking CEDO Technician with IRATA certification to support operations at LNG site located in Kitimat, BC. This position involves preparing and positioning radiographic exposure devices and sources, calibrating equipment, securing the area, and ensuring all safety protocols are followed. The technician will perform radiographic examinations to detect internal flaws and implement strict safety procedures to minimize radiation exposure, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and safety standards.

Requirements

CEDO Certification
IRATA (Rope Access) Certified or willing to obtain
Diversified experience in NDT or related field
Self-motivated and capable of working at a high technical and performance level
Strong work ethics
Ability to maintain positive working relations with clients
Exceptional safety and quality awareness
Ability to solve problems and manage time effectively
Candidates must be local or willing to relocate

Responsibilities

Prepare and position radiographic exposure devices and sources, such as gamma or X-ray equipment, to conduct inspections.
Calibrating the equipment, securing the area, and ensuring all safety protocols are followed to protect themselves and others from radiation exposure.
Perform radiographic examinations on materials, welds, or components to detect internal flaws, such as cracks, voids, or other irregularities.
Implement and monitor strict safety procedures to minimize radiation exposure to themselves and others.
Ensure that all activities comply with regulatory requirements and safety standards.
