About The Position

The carpenter is responsible for constructing and maintaining buildings. This role requires knowledge of construction and remodeling trades, practices, procedures, techniques, tools and equipment, materials, specifications, quality control, cost control, and safety. The carpenter must be proficient in tasks such as hanging doors, drilling and setting door hardware, setting windows, layout for stairs and common rafters, formwork, and reading blueprints. Additionally, the carpenter must possess the mathematical and analytical skills necessary for materials estimates.

Requirements

  • Ticketed Journeyperson Carpenter or Unticketed Carpenter
  • Experienced with a large general contractor
  • Currently working in the trade
  • Knowledge of carpentry and building maintenance
  • Knowledge of safe operation of basic hand and power tools
  • Knowledge of workplace safety, and safe lifting and handling procedures
  • First aid and CPR certification
  • Able to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner
  • Ability to undergo pre-employment physical testing screen
