About The Position

The Journeyman Technician performs automotive repairs and service swiftly and accurately in accordance with dealership and manufacturer standards while ensuring customer satisfaction. The role includes diagnosing vehicle malfunctions, completing repairs, road-testing vehicles, documenting work, maintaining an inventory of normal mechanic’s tools, and completing required technical training and certifications. This is a flat-rate position with eligibility for short-term and/or long-term incentives. The posting lists compensation of $27.80–$39.15 plus a production bonus (Semi Skilled).

Requirements

• Prior automotive repair experience.
• Suspension and alignment experience.
• Be a team player focused on providing exemplary customer service.
• Have an acceptable driving record and a valid driver’s license in the state of residence.
• High school graduation or equivalent.
• Be at least 18 years old.

Nice To Haves

• ASE and manufacturer certification.
• Knowledge of German vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Perform repair-order work efficiently and accurately in accordance with Lithia and manufacturer standards.
• Diagnose the cause of vehicle malfunctions.
• Complete work according to applicable safety requirements.
• Road-test vehicles to confirm the quality of repairs.
• Document work performed on repair orders and record test procedures, results, and time according to company recording and clocking procedures.
• Provide and maintain an inventory of normal mechanic’s tools.
• Acquire and maintain manufacturer and ASE certifications by completing required training.
• Participate in and use technical training as assigned by management.
