About The Position

Pape’ Machinery, Inc.’s Construction & Forestry Division is seeking a Journeyman Shop Technician to work on construction and forestry equipment in the shop. The role ensures equipment repairs are accurate and timely to support customers and maximize equipment uptime. The technician will work alongside other trained technicians in a well-resourced shop and is expected to handle challenging repair jobs. Pape’ provides training, resources, and support, with opportunities to develop skills and advance within the company.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of experience diagnosing and repairing all makes and models of new and used heavy equipment.
• Team-oriented personality and the ability to work independently without direct supervision.
• Discipline and skill to complete a technical diagnostic and repair training program.
• Must provide own tools.
• Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug test.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair new and used heavy equipment of all makes and models.
• Complete equipment repairs accurately and in a timely manner.
• Support customers and maximize equipment uptime.
• Operate a lift truck and other heavy equipment; training will be provided.
