About The Position

The Kamehameha Schools Maui campus is seeking a skilled Journeyman Plumber to join their Campus Operations team. A strong background in the maintenance and repair of irrigation systems is highly preferred. This is a full-time regular position offering a comprehensive benefits package. Performs maintenance, repair, and modifications of campus plumbing systems, equipment, and machinery. This includes the maintenance of water distribution systems, water mains, fire hydrants, and irrigation systems, as well as well-pumping and treatment stations for certain campuses, as applicable. Works closely with internal team to coordinate workflow and ensure efficient, high-quality project completion. Constructs, installs, maintains, repairs, and tests water and wastewater systems, both above and below ground, in compliance with safety and quality standards. Assists in reviewing work orders, estimating time and materials, and identifying supplies for requisition.

Requirements

High School Diploma/Equivalent.
Minimum of 5 years Journeyman Plumber work experience.
Current State Certified Journeyman Plumber License.
Valid Driver's License.
Must be available to respond to emergencies on a 24/7 basis.

Nice To Haves

A strong background in the maintenance and repair of irrigation systems is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

Monitors water quality in accordance with Department of Health regulations, under the direction of the manager.
Provides plumbing hook-ups as required for special events on and off campus.
Repairs gas, compressed air and sprinkler lines as required.
Supports the maintenance of equipment and systems to ensure safety standards and operational reliability.
Performs maintenance and repair of plumbing and irrigation systems, fixtures, and pumps across the campus.
Coordinates with internal team members to plan and execute plumbing-related projects, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to quality standards.
Reviews work order requirements and assist in planning tasks, estimating labor and materials, and identifying supplies needed for plumbing and irrigation work.
