About The Position

SOS Plumbing & Heating is a small, family-owned plumbing and heating company serving Rhode Island. We currently operate three trucks and are continuing to grow as we head into the heating season. We are looking for a reliable, licensed Journeyman Plumber, Pipefitter, or Master-level tradesperson to join our team. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong plumbing, heating, and boiler knowledge who wants to grow with a fast-expanding local company.

Requirements

• Valid Rhode Island Journeyman Plumber, Pipefitter, or Master license required.
• High school diploma or GED required; trade school or technical training preferred.
• Clean driving record; DMV/RMV check required.
• Background check required.
• Boiler and hydronic heating experience strongly preferred.
• Must be reliable, professional, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Must be able to follow company procedures, job notes, and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform plumbing and heating work in residential and light commercial settings.
• Assemble, install, alter, and repair piping systems for water, steam, air, gas, and heating applications.
• Install, service, and troubleshoot boilers, hydronic heating systems, and related mechanical controls.
• Read and interpret blueprints, job specifications, and applicable plumbing/mechanical codes.
• Inspect, test, diagnose, and repair piping systems and related equipment.
• Maintain accurate job records, notes, and documentation.
• Lead, train, and assist apprentices or helpers as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment.
• Communicate professionally with customers, team members, and management.
