About The Position

Feldkamp Enterprises, a Marsden Holding Company, is seeking a skilled Journeyman Pipefitter to work on jobsites assigned by a Project Manager across the greater Cincinnati and Dayton areas. Sites will vary based on the job. The role involves commercial pipe layout and installation, independent work, troubleshooting, and delivering high-quality craftsmanship. The Pipefitter works directly under the Field Foreman and trains and leads Apprentices and Helper-level staff assigned to the jobsite.

Requirements

3–5+ years of experience in commercial pipefitting and welding.
Journeyman License.
OSHA 10 or 30 Certification.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Ability to weld in all positions, including standing and kneeling.
Ability to sweat and braze.
Ability to use a roll groove machine.
Ability to work at heights.
Basic English proficiency for safety reasons.
Pre-employment drug screen required.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
General understanding of hand tools, such as tape measures, pipe wrenches, hammers, and screwdrivers.
Ability to work with, train, and lead Apprentices and Helper-level staff members.

VRF certification.

Responsibilities

Assemble and install piping systems for commercial buildings.
Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and specifications.
Measure, cut, groove, thread, weld, and join various types of pipe, including copper, cast iron, PVC, and PEX.
Bend pipe by hand or with pipe-bending tools and machines.
Install hangers and supports.
Test piping systems for leaks by increasing pressure and observing attached gauges.
Troubleshoot installation issues and provide solutions to maintain quality and project timelines.
Train and lead Apprentices and Helper-level staff members assigned to the jobsite.
Work safely, follow safety requirements, wear proper PPE, and keep the worksite organized and free of hazards.
Perform other duties as assigned.
