About The Position
General maintenance mechanic duties as assigned by a Maintenance Supervisor in areas of installations, maintenance, and repair of all components associated with plumbing.
Requirements
- Highschool diploma or equivalent, or vocational school degree
- Journeyman's Plumber’s license issued by Allegheny County and a PA Driver’s License – Class I
- Minimum 5 years of experience
- Knowledge of plumbing and plumbing sanitary codes
- Ability to work others
- Ability to perform physically demanding work
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the University Community
- Ability and willingness to contribute actively to the mission of the University and to respect the Spiritan Catholic identity of Duquesne University
Responsibilities
- Inspects, adjusts, service, and repairs plumbing fixtures and systems and all elements and components associated with plumbing operation
- Assists in preparation of material lists
- Maintains records
- Diagnoses and correct deficiencies in existing plumbing systems
- Completes other duties as assigned
