About The Position

Compass Point is seeking a PC Technician to support units at Fort Benning, Georgia. The role provides technical expertise for the operation, security, and availability of enterprise IT systems supporting U.S. Special Operations Command. The technician helps maintain the stability and efficiency of government IT infrastructure and applies problem-solving, analytical, communication, and technical skills across government hardware and software systems. The position is contingent upon contract award and funding; selected applicants cannot begin work until funding is confirmed.

Requirements

DoD 8140-411 Basic certification and ability to maintain it through continuing education requirements or recertification.
Current Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field; relevant experience may substitute for education.
3–5 years of experience.

Responsibilities

Provide technical support and administration for enterprise email platforms, user account provisioning, standardized desktop software suites, and government applications using tools such as Remedy, MECM, VMware, ESXi, and NetApp ONTAP.
Diagnose and remediate hardware and software issues on end-user systems; execute software deployments and system imaging; and administer access controls for shared file systems.
Facilitate initiation, monitoring, and resolution of end-user incident management processes as a liaison.
Coordinate Incident Reports and Service Requests with cross-functional IT teams, ensuring documentation, escalation alignment, and resolution tracking follow established service management protocols.
Support local registration authority functions.
Provide updates on IT incidents, changes, and projects, escalating issues to senior IT teams or vendors as needed.
