Reporting to the General Foreman, the Journeyman Millwright applies their strong mechanical expertise and proactive approach to ensure equipment reliability, workplace safety, and efficient operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • Certified Journeyman Millwright required
  • Minimum 3–5 years of recent millwright experience
  • Experience working in an industrial or manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
  • In-depth knowledge of safety practices
  • Physically fit to lift items weighing up to 50lbs
  • Communication skills to read, write, listen, and speak in a clear and concise manner to individuals at various levels
  • Interpersonal skills work collaboratively and cooperatively with others
  • Time management skills to productively complete work and meet all expected deadlines
  • Organizational skills to plan out and coordinate his or her work in a logical manner
  • Analytical skills to identify problems and find a solution, or seek advice from the supervisor
  • Problem solving skills to methodically and logically work through problems

Nice To Haves

  • Additional trade certifications considered an asset
  • Forklift experience considered an asset
  • Crane rigging experience considered an asset

Responsibilities

  • Perform mechanical     maintenance and repairs on a wide range of equipment, including CNC mills,     lathes, cutting tables, brake presses, welding machines, and mobile     equipment such     as forklifts and company vehicles.
  • Support and coordinate safety     inspections for     cranes, rigging, and lifting devices; respond to health, safety, or     environmental hazards as they arise.
  • Conduct routine     inspections of     mechanical equipment to ensure proper function, and take corrective     actions when needed.
  • Install and maintain     mechanical systems and equipment in compliance with applicable regulations     and safety standards.
  • Assist with building     maintenance     tasks and coordinate required inspections.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure all preventive     maintenance schedules are up to date and followed.
  • Apply your trade skills to     deliver high-quality workmanship with minimal supervision.
  • Provide mentorship to     apprentices and assist with training site personnel based on your     knowledge and experience.
  • Complete all required     training and certifications related to the Millwright profile and     departmental needs.
  • Collaborate with team members     to meet operational and maintenance goals.
  • Maintain a clean, organized,     and safe work environment and report any incidents or accidents promptly.
  • Assist in other site     operations as required, within the scope of your qualifications
