About The Position

Journeyman Maintenance Electrician Must be skilled, fully trained tradesperson who performs maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair work on equipment, machinery, or facilities-typically after completing an apprenticeship or equivalent experience.

Requirements

  • Completed apprenticeship, trade school, or several years of experience
  • Journeyman certification (in some trades/regions)
  • Ability to work shifts, including nights or weekends
  • Physical ability for lifting, climbing, and standing for long periods
  • Professionalism, adherence to safety protocols, and "team player" is an essential requirement for this position

Nice To Haves

  • Mechanical and electrical systems (motors, conveyors, PLCs, etc.)
  • Blueprint and schematic reading
  • Use of hand and power tools
  • Problem-solving and critical thinking
  • Basic computer or CMMS (maintenance software) skills

Responsibilities

  • Inspect and service equipment to prevent failures
  • Diagnose and fix mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic issues
  • Identify root causes of equipment problems
  • Set up and test new machinery or systems
  • Follow OSHA and company safety standards
  • Record maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used
