About The Position

Detroit Lakes Public Utilities is seeking a skilled Journeyman Line Worker to join our Electric Department team. As a Journeyman Line Worker, you will perform advanced and highly skilled work in the construction, maintenance, operation, and repair of overhead and underground electric transmission and distribution systems. You'll play a critical role in ensuring reliable electric service while working within a strong safety culture that values teamwork, professionalism, and service.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Successful completion of a certified line worker apprenticeship program (8,000 hours)
  • Four (4) years of journey-level line worker experience with rubber glove experience
  • Valid Class A CDL driver's license

Nice To Haves

  • Minnesota State Journeyman Lineman License
  • Experience with municipal, cooperative, or investor-owned utilities
