OTP is seeking a full-time Journeymen or Apprentice Electrical Line Worker to be temporarily located in Harvey, ND.

Requirements

Diploma from an accredited line worker program.
Valid, unrestricted interstate commercial driver's license.
Knowledge of electric line construction, maintenance, and repair.
Ability to work outdoors in any weather.
Ability to climb.
Complete knowledge of safety rules.
Ability to get along well with others.
Reside within 25 miles from the headquarters of Harvey, ND.

Responsibilities

Maintaining or repairing overhead and underground electrical distribution and transmission systems and substations.
Framing and erecting poles and attaching necessary fixtures and equipment.
Stringing, sagging, and splicing conductors (wires).
Connecting transformers and other equipment.
Trimming trees.
Replacing equipment such as broken insulators, split crossarms, cutouts, ties, faulty clamps or braces.
Performing similar replacement or repair work as necessary to clear up storm damage.
Learning to use electrical instruments.
Operating hydraulic equipment.
Working out of an aerial basket.
