About The Position

We’re seeking an experienced Journeyman Electrician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems across a variety of projects. In this role, you’ll interpret plans and specifications, diagnose electrical issues, ensure work meets applicable codes and safety standards, and collaborate with other trades to keep projects moving safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate is a licensed Journeyman Electrician who takes pride in quality craftsmanship, works well independently and as part of a team, and brings a reliable, professional approach to every job.

Requirements

Licensed Journeyman Electrician
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring methods, equipment, tools, and installation practices.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, specifications, and technical plans.
Knowledge of the NEC and applicable electrical codes, standards, and safety requirements.
Effectively diagnose electrical faults and system issues and identify root causes.
Apply sound judgment to determine appropriate repair and maintenance solutions.
Anticipate potential electrical problems and take proactive steps to prevent system failures.
Demonstrate strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Consistently follow electrical safety procedures, codes, and established work practices.
Properly use and maintain tools, testing equipment, and required personal protective equipment.
Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, clients, and other trades.
Coordinate work with other trades to support efficient project execution.
Work effectively both independently and within a team environment.
Demonstrate dependability, punctuality, and accountability.
Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance.
Adapt to changing priorities, jobsite conditions, and project requirements.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience working as a Journeyman Electrician in commercial construction or a related environment.
Experience coordinating electrical work with other trades on active construction sites.
Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage priorities, and complete work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

Install, repair, and maintain electrical wiring, fixtures, equipment, panels, and related systems.
Diagnose electrical issues and determine appropriate repair solutions.
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance to identify and address potential system issues.
Respond to electrical service and emergency needs as required.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, plans, and building specifications.
Determine appropriate electrical system layouts, wiring requirements, and installation methods.
Perform work in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local and state requirements.
Follow established electrical safety standards and jobsite procedures.
Coordinate electrical activities with plumbers, HVAC technicians, builders, and other trades.
Communicate project needs, potential issues, and progress to appropriate team members.
Assist with determining material, equipment, and labor requirements as needed.
Support efficient project execution while maintaining high standards of workmanship.
Maintain electrical tools, testing devices, and equipment in safe, reliable working condition.
Track materials and supplies used to complete assigned work.
Maintain accurate records of work performed, inspections, and materials used.
Ensure work areas, tools, and materials are organized and properly maintained.
