Requirements

  • Valid Journeyman Electrician license or certification as required by local/state regulations.
  • Proven experience as a Journeyman Electrician or in a similar role.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of electrical systems, blueprints, and electrical codes.
  • Ability to use electrical testing equipment and hand/power tools proficiently.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Good physical condition and stamina to handle manual labor and work at heights or in confined spaces.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures according to specifications and electrical codes.
  • Read and interpret electrical blueprints, drawings, and technical diagrams.
  • Inspect electrical systems to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair.
  • Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring to ensure compatibility and safety.
  • Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and other construction professionals to complete projects.
  • Ensure all work complies with local and national electrical codes and safety standards.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and work vehicles in good condition and comply with company safety policies.
