About The Position

Journeyman Electrician: Residential Installation. This role involves performing diagnostics, troubleshooting, repair, and installation of residential electrical systems. You will also conduct preventive maintenance, system inspections, and interpret electrical schematics. Communication with dispatch, management, and installation teams is key, as is maintaining a clean and organized service vehicle. Accurate documentation and adherence to safety policies are required. Requirements

  • Minnesota State Electrical License required
  • Comfortability making recommendations about needed repairs and replacement services.
  • Ability to confidently present the price to our customers and collect payment while on site.

  • Clean motor vehicle record.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, repair, and installation of residential electrical systems, including panels, circuits, wiring, fixtures, and controls.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance and system inspections to identify potential issues, ensure code compliance, and maintain optimal system performance.
  • Interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and manufacturer specifications to ensure accurate installations and repairs.
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with dispatch, management, and installation teams regarding job status, parts needs, and scheduling.
  • Keep service vehicle clean, organized and properly stocked with tools, materials, and critical inventory to support efficient field operations.
  • Accurately complete service documentation, work orders, and inspection reports in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to company safety policies and procedures at all times.
  • Maintain a clean driving record and operate company vehicles safely.
  • Participate in ongoing technical training and certification programs to stay current with industry standards, evolving technologies, and code updates.
  • Obtain and maintain required licenses and certifications (company support available).
