About The Position

Skillforce is hiring skilled Commercial Journeyman Carpenters for commercial construction work in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Candidates should have commercial construction experience, including FRP installation and finish work, strong attention to detail, safety awareness, and the ability to work as part of a team. The work is 40 hours per week on night shift for two weeks, at $30.00 per hour.

Requirements

• 5+ years of commercial carpentry experience preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and follow technical instructions.
• Reliable transportation and basic hand tools required.
• Ability to pass all pre-employment screenings.
• Commercial construction experience, including FRP installation and finish work.
• Strong attention to detail, safety awareness, and ability to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform commercial carpentry, including framing, formwork, rough-in, and/or finish work.
• Install doors, hardware, casework, and trim as required.
• Read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment safely and effectively.
• Ensure work meets project specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements.
• Collaborate with other trades and project supervisors to meet deadlines.
