About The Position

This is a full-time apprenticeship opportunity that offers hands-on experience and leads to an Apprenticeship Certification. If you have a passion for working with engines, technology, and machinery, this program provides a pathway to a career as a certified John Deere expert. C & B Operations, with 38 John Deere dealership locations across 6 states, is seeking individuals to train as expert technicians. The program involves working full-time in a shop under experienced technicians, with monthly one-week trips to Mitchell, South Dakota for in-class instruction and hands-on learning. Travel, food, lodging, and class expenses are covered. The apprenticeship duration is 2-3 years, depending on prior mechanic experience. Participants can choose from tool packages of $3,000 or $7,500, which become theirs after three years of employment. The program allows individuals to earn money while gaining work experience and obtaining their John Deere Apprenticeship Certification.

Requirements

Strong work ethic and desire to learn
Mechanical aptitude and interest in equipment
Ability to work full-time
Valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on John Deere agricultural equipment
Work with diesel engines, hydraulics, electronics, and precision ag technology
Use advanced diagnostic tools and software
Complete digital service documentation
Learn professional shop procedures and safety practices
Work alongside experienced technicians who mentor and train
