About The Position

Tri-City Group is hiring a Jobsite Safety professional for immediate openings in South Bend, Indiana. The role advances and reinforces health and safety initiatives, fosters a strong safety culture throughout the organization, and ensures potential hazards are identified and mitigated. The position supports construction project safety programs and helps maintain compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety standards.

Requirements

Approximately 7 years of construction safety experience.
Current First Aid/CPR certification.
OSHA 30 certification.
Strong leadership and attention to detail.
Ability to identify hazards, enforce safety standards, and solve problems in a fast-paced construction environment.
Self-motivated and organized, with the ability to communicate effectively with field personnel and manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
Successful completion of a drug screen and reference check; job offers are contingent upon both.

Nice To Haves

One or more of the following safety certifications: Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST), or Associate Safety Professional (ASP).

Responsibilities

Support the development, implementation, and improvement of project safety programs.
Promote a positive safety culture among jobsite personnel.
Identify, evaluate, and mitigate workplace hazards.
Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety standards.
Provide daily safety guidance and conduct training sessions and toolbox talks.
Perform jobsite inspections and recommend corrective actions.
Investigate incidents and document findings to prevent recurrence.
Monitor contractor compliance with safety policies and procedures.
Assist with risk assessments and loss prevention planning.
Maintain accurate safety documentation and reporting.
