Job Placement & Retention Specialist
About The Position
Under the supervision of the Open Placement Manager, the Placement & Retention Specialist provides comprehensive case management to clients enrolled in the Open Placement Program, specifically justice-impacted individuals. Services include intake, job readiness training, sharing job leads, arranging interviews, and providing job placement and retention support. The Specialist also develops relationships with area employers and agencies to expand employment opportunities for clients and completes monthly retention reporting. The position is temporary and part-time, located at 70th WFD in Shreveport, Louisiana. Compensation is $18.50 per hour. A background screening and reference checks are conditions of employment. The employee must have a privately owned vehicle and valid license, or otherwise be able to access locations that may not be reachable by public transportation, possibly at a moment’s notice.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited college or university, or two years of professional experience.
- Possess a privately owned vehicle and valid license, or be able to access locations that may not be accessible by public transportation, possibly at a moment’s notice.
- Complete background screening and reference checks as a condition of employment.
