About The Position

ViaQuest Employment Services partners with local, regional, and national businesses and school districts to develop and promote individuals with disabilities in the workplace. The organization provides work experience opportunities that help individuals identify career paths and foster independence. The Job Coach trains and supervises clients with developmental or physical disabilities, supporting them in learning job tasks, work routines, and personal life habits. The role emphasizes community employment, inclusion, independence, natural supports, and client retention.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Professional, responsible, mature, and flexible.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in special education, developmental disabilities, or a youth-centered field is preferred.
• Knowledge of the food industry, retail, and hospitality services is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Train and supervise clients with developmental or physical disabilities to acquire the skills needed to perform specific job tasks, work routines, and personal life habits.
• Assist clients with their work responsibilities in ways that foster independence, develop natural supports, and help ensure retention.
• Provide daily job skills training focused on community employment and inclusion.
• Interact respectfully with individuals, recognizing their unique needs and supporting meaningful outcomes.
• Professionally maintain daily documentation.
