About The Position

ViaQuest Employment Services partners with local, regional, and national businesses and school districts to develop and promote individuals with disabilities in the workplace. The organization provides work experience opportunities that help individuals identify career paths and foster independence. The Job Coach trains and supervises clients with developmental or physical disabilities, helping them acquire the skills needed to perform specific job tasks, work routines, and personal life habits. The role provides daily job skills training focused on community employment and inclusion, and supports clients in ways that foster independence, develop natural supports, and help ensure job retention. The Job Coach interacts respectfully with individuals and attends to their unique needs to support meaningful outcomes.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Professional, responsible, mature, and flexible.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in special education, developmental disabilities, or a youth-centered field.
• Knowledge of the food industry, retail, and hospitality services.

Responsibilities

• Train and supervise clients with developmental or physical disabilities in specific job tasks, work routines, and personal life habits.
• Assist clients in performing work responsibilities in ways that foster independence, develop natural supports, and help ensure retention.
• Provide daily job skills training focused on community employment and inclusion.
• Interact with individuals respectfully, recognizing their unique needs and supporting meaningful outcomes.
• Professionally maintain daily documentation.
