About The Position

ViaQuest Employment Services partners with local, regional, and national businesses and school districts to develop and promote individuals with disabilities in the workplace. The role provides work experience opportunities that help individuals identify career paths and foster independence. The Job Coach trains and supervises clients with developmental or physical disabilities so they can acquire the skills needed to perform job tasks, work routines, and personal life habits. The position provides daily job skills training focused on community employment and inclusion, while supporting independence, developing natural supports, and helping clients retain their jobs.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Have a high school diploma or GED.
• Be professional, responsible, mature, and flexible.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in special education, developmental disabilities, or a youth-centered field.
• Knowledge of the food industry, retail, or hospitality services.

Responsibilities

• Train and supervise clients with developmental or physical disabilities in the skills needed to perform specific job tasks, work routines, and personal life habits.
• Assist clients with their work responsibilities in ways that foster independence, develop natural supports, and help ensure job retention.
• Provide daily job skills training focused on community employment and inclusion.
• Interact with individuals in a way that respects their unique needs and promotes meaningful outcomes.
• Professionally maintain daily documentation.
