About The Position

The Job Coach will work with clients at the Archive worksite, teaching the skills needed to work in the digital archival field. This includes navigating various digital media scanning devices, such as Photoshop and editing software. The role involves providing job coaching and training in both hard and soft skills to ensure clients have a professional appearance and demeanor. The Job Coach will also serve as a quality control for client work, ensuring accuracy and compliance with customer requirements, and will instruct clients using prepared curriculum. Additionally, the Job Coach will maintain an accurate monthly inventory of all materials, track "Holds," collect payments from account customers, and complete all necessary reports and paperwork in a timely manner, maintaining strict confidentiality of client and customer records. The position requires availability to fill in with minimal notice during regular work hours and access to reliable transportation.

Requirements

  • A minimum of one year experience providing rehabilitation services to people with disabilities.
  • Experience working with various computer software and applications.
  • Must be able to pass drug screen.
  • Ability to write progress notes outlining the clients' daily training and steps toward achieving their goals.
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Able to adjust to the operations of each worksite and be available to cover during all regular work hours.
  • Knowledge of basic computer functions (Microsoft Office, keyboard and mouse, internet, Outlook, etc.).
  • Ability to teach and train people with various levels of education, learning styles and experience.
  • Understanding of the principles of Psychiatric Rehabilitation.
  • Ability to document client progress in medical record format.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to learn different settings and functions on the computer and interpret the proper use.
  • Ability to use various hand and power tools.
  • Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to bend, twist, stoop and lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Make sure the business is being completed in a timely manner in the absence of the Manager on site.
  • Work with clients at the Archive worksite, teaching the skills needed to work in the digital archival field.
  • Navigate various digital media scanning devices such as photoshop and editing software.
  • Keep an accurate, monthly inventory of all materials in the worksite.
  • Keep track of "Holds" and collect payment from account customers monthly.
  • Provides job coaching and training in a variety of settings including, but not limited to, Archive & DKA Coaches' clients in both hard and soft skills to ensure a professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Assists clients in learning soft skills needed for successful employment: Stress management, Time management, Communication skills, Organizational skills.
  • Serves as a quality control of client work to ensure accuracy and compliance with customer's requirements.
  • Instructs clients using prepared curriculum.
  • Completes all necessary reports and paperwork in a timely manner including progress notes, monthly reports, time sheets and incident reports.
  • Maintains strict confidentiality of clients' and customers' records in accordance with HIPPA, DRM, and Federal Copyright Regulations.
  • Available to fill in with minimal notice during regular work hours.
  • Other duties as assigned.
