About The Position

Beacon Group is seeking a patient, flexible, and dedicated Job Coach to work with, train, and supervise a team of adults with disabilities. This is a hands-on position where you will provide top-notch services to individuals on the team and quality service to the customers Beacon serves. The specific services provided will depend on the location and site needs. Beacon Group has been creating opportunities for people with disabilities across Southern Arizona and Phoenix since 1952. As a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit, Beacon serves over 2,000 people with disabilities annually, providing job training and placement, supported and center-based employment, and day treatment programs. This role offers career development and promotion opportunities within the Direct Support Professional field.

Requirements

• High school diploma or its equivalent.
• Minimum of six months of experience working with adults with disabilities.
• Increased technical skills related to field of work.
• Successfully pass the drug test and background check.
• CPR/First Aid/AED certification, or able to obtain and maintain a CPR/First Aid/AED Certification.
• Fingerprint clearance card, or able to obtain and maintain a fingerprint clearance card.
• Provide proof of good driving.
• Have a valid Arizona Driver's License and pass the Beacon driving test.
• Article IX, and Prevention and Support certificate or able to obtain and maintain certification.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a GSA clearance.

Nice To Haves

• Experience as a Direct Support Professional, Job Coach, Behavioral Health Paraprofessional, or Behavioral Health Tech.

Responsibilities

• Work with, train, and supervise a team of adults with disabilities.
• Provide top-of-the-line services for the individuals on the team.
• Provide quality service to the customers Beacon serves.
• Write accurate, clear, and informative case notes.
• Work, drive, and travel independently to various sites.
• Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
