About The Position

Project Genesis, Inc., a nonprofit that has been empowering individuals with disabilities for over 30 years, is seeking passionate and reliable Job Coaches / Employment Specialists for its R.I.S.E. (Reaching Individual Success & Employment) program. This role involves helping individuals with disabilities develop workplace skills, gain independence, and build confidence for lasting success. The ideal candidate celebrates small victories, enjoys seeing others grow, and is motivated by making a real impact.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent (GED) and 1+ year of experience in human services, job coaching, mentoring, or education.
OR Bachelor's degree and willingness to complete our training program.
Be 18 years or older.
Have reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and proof of auto insurance.
Be flexible and ready to travel to clients’ workplaces within your local area.

Responsibilities

Teach and model workplace skills that lead to independence and job success.
Assess abilities and strengths, tailoring training to each person’s unique learning style.
Coach communication and teamwork skills for success on the job.
Develop creative, individualized training plans using adaptive tools or multisensory techniques.
Document progress and collaborate with Program Managers to ensure each client thrives.
Celebrate victories — big and small — as clients reach milestones toward independence.
