About The Position

Community Interface Services is hiring a Job Coach! This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of individuals seeking or maintaining employment, empowering them to achieve their professional goals. If you are seeking a person-driven career, this might be the position for you! This position earns a starting range of $23-25 per hour, with an open Monday-Friday and some Saturdays schedule. Plenty of training and professional growth opportunities are available, and you can earn a $1 increase upon completion of your Career Jumpstart Program! Since 1983, Community Interface Services has been empowering adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities through individualized, community-based support. We are a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping people thrive in employment, housing, community inclusion, and daily living.

Requirements

HS Diploma required
CA Driver's license
a working vehicle
at least two years of driving experience
Ability to convey instructions clearly while also listening to the needs of those you support.
Patience and empathy
Problem-solving skills
A proactive approach and adaptability

Responsibilities

Supporting individuals with disabilities working within the Carlsbad to Cardiff area.
Supporting prioritizing tasks, completing their work efficiently, and facilitating the relationship between the employer and the person you support.
Advocating for any support or accommodation needed at work.
Offering personalized job coaching to help individuals develop their skills and confidence in the workplace, empowering them to thrive in their roles.
