About The Position

Prevail Recruiting is partnering with a premier, well-established architecture firm in the Los Angeles area to identify an experienced Job Captain to join its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong architectural professional who enjoys taking ownership of construction documentation, coordinating with consultants, and working closely with Project Managers and licensed Architects throughout the project lifecycle. Requirements

  • 3–5+ years of experience working within an architectural firm
  • Strong proficiency with Revit
  • AutoCAD proficiency strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated experience producing and coordinating complete construction-document sets
  • Experience coordinating engineering and specialty consultants
  • Working knowledge of building codes, ADA/accessibility requirements, and construction methods
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively

Responsibilities

  • Develop and coordinate architectural construction documents using Revit and AutoCAD
  • Produce plans, elevations, sections, details, and permit/construction drawing packages
  • Assist Project Managers and Architects throughout multiple phases of project development
  • Coordinate architectural drawings with structural, MEP, civil, and specialty consultants
  • Maintain accurate and organized Revit models and drawing sets
  • Review documents for technical accuracy, constructability, and coordination
  • Ensure drawings comply with applicable California Building Codes and ADA/accessibility requirements
  • Participate in internal quality-control and document-coordination reviews
  • Assist with construction administration, including RFIs, submittals, and field coordination
  • Communicate effectively with internal project teams, consultants, and other project stakeholders
  • Help maintain project schedules and documentation standards
