About The Position
An award-winning U.S. design firm that provides architecture, planning, and interior design services focused on complex, community-oriented projects and mass-timber innovation across diverse building types is seeking a Job Captain to help deliver high-quality multifamily and mixed-use projects through design development, construction documentation, and team coordination. This role supports project success from concept through construction while collaborating closely with consultants and internal teams at their Downtown Oakland office.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture required
- Minimum 4 years of architectural experience, including 2 years on multifamily projects
- Minimum 4 years of Revit experience required
- Working knowledge of Type I, III, and V construction and consultant coordination skills
Nice To Haves
- California Architect license or progress toward licensure preferred
Responsibilities
- Develop and coordinate construction documents using Revit
- Collaborate with consultants and project teams to ensure drawing accuracy
- Prepare hand-sketched details and translate them into Revit drawings
- Support construction administration and review project progress
- Apply knowledge of IBC, CBC, accessibility requirements, and construction methods
