About The Position

The Jewelry Retoucher is a key member of the Creative team, responsible for producing polished, high-quality imagery that reflects the craftsmanship and beauty of the Julie Vos collection. This role partners closely with Photography, Creative, and Marketing teams to refine product and campaign imagery for e-commerce, digital marketing, and editorial content while maintaining the highest standards of quality, consistency, and product accuracy.

Requirements

Experienced in professional retouching, preferably within jewelry, luxury accessories, fashion, or beauty.
A strong portfolio demonstrating exceptional jewelry retouching and attention to detail.
Advanced proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, including masking, clipping paths, adjustment layers, compositing, and non-destructive editing.
Expertise in retouching reflective metals, gemstones, and intricate product details while preserving a natural, dimensional finish.
Strong understanding of color correction, color management, and image preparation for digital production.
Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and time management.
Collaborative, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced creative environment.

Nice To Haves

Experience with editorial, fashion, or beauty retouching, including natural skin retouching and cohesive color grading, is a plus.
Experience with Capture One and focus-stacked imagery is a plus.

Responsibilities

Retouch jewelry imagery for e-commerce, still-life photography, marketing campaigns, and brand content.
Retouch editorial and on-model imagery, refining skin, wardrobe, and backgrounds while preserving natural texture and authenticity.
Remove dust, scratches, and other surface distractions while maintaining the integrity of each product.
Refine reflections, highlights, and shadows to enhance shape, depth, and dimension.
Color-match metals and gemstones to approved product references, ensuring consistent representation across all channels.
Create precise masks, clipping paths, composites, and background cleanups as needed.
Maintain consistent color, contrast, finish, and overall image quality across collections and seasonal campaigns.
Organize layered working files and prepare final assets according to production specifications and deadlines.
Continuously evaluate workflows and identify opportunities to improve efficiency while maintaining exceptional quality.
Partner closely with Photography, Creative, and Marketing teams throughout the post-production process.
Interpret creative direction and incorporate feedback while maintaining Julie Vos brand standards.
Help ensure a seamless workflow from image capture through final asset delivery.
