About The Position

Western States Envelope and Label Company, with over 115 years of experience, is a leading provider of high-quality envelopes, labels, and packaging. We are seeking an experienced Offset Jet Press Operator for our Erlanger, Kentucky facility. This role involves setting up and operating 2-color high-speed printing presses in a climate-controlled environment. We offer a competitive salary, a sign-on bonus, and comprehensive benefits.

Requirements

• One year or more of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Manual dexterity.
• Strong initiative.
• Team player.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
• Ability to stand for approximate duration of scheduled shift (minus paid breaks).
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. frequently and up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
• Ability to perform repetitive grasping, frequent twisting, lifting above shoulder height, occasional bending, reaching, crouching, or stooping.
• Near and far visual acuity, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
• Reasoning, mechanical aptitude and mathematical skills for appropriate operations of the equipment.

Nice To Haves

• Prior Offset Printing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and run press, maintain quality, and adjust ink and water roller pressures.
• Properly inspect product visually and separate envelopes.
• Place envelopes onto the feed of the machine.
• Pack envelopes uniformly and neatly, keeping up with the machine speed.
• Properly check order throughout the run to ensure accurate labeling, printing, and packaging of product.
• Maintain accurate counts of envelopes to boxes, cartons, and skids.
• Remove paper jams and perform preventative maintenance when scheduled.
• Maintain press and surrounding area to Lean specifications.
