Jefferson County’s Innovation Team hosts a cohort of interns every fall and spring semester as well as during the summer. Innovation interns get first-hand experience in civic innovation, ranging from emerging technologies to transformational initiatives. We strive to build a strong community, even within a hybrid environment, and provide opportunities for mentoring, networking, professional development, and getting to know your fellow interns. Internships are designed to last at least a semester, and successful interns are encouraged and welcome to continue their internship. We are searching for an Innovation intern to support the Jeffco Innovation Lab. Jeffco Innovation Lab (JIL) is the county’s hub for employee innovation and offers courses and programs that empower Jeffco employees to transform government services for the better. The intern will help to facilitate workshops and events, coordinate planning activities, and ultimately support employees all over the county in transforming county services for the better. The position will report directly to the Innovation Program Manager. The successful candidate will have great interpersonal and facilitation skills, a knack for data analysis and technology, and a desire to facilitate change in government!
