About The Position

Trident Consulting is seeking a Java Tech Lead for a client described as a global leader in business and technology services. This is a W2 contract role onsite in Raleigh, North Carolina, or Atlanta, Georgia. The role involves leading a team of engineers and building enterprise authentication applications from scratch in collaboration with UX, Design, and Product teams. The position emphasizes Java and Spring Boot development, API design, testable code, DevOps pipeline readiness, coding standards, code reviews, and application performance and scalability.

Requirements

• 11–12 years of experience in Java and Spring Boot as a tech lead.
• Strong API design and coding knowledge.
• Experience implementing Swagger UI in REST services.
• Experience setting up and working on GitLab pipelines using tools such as SONAR and Veracode.
• Ability to work with a team of engineers, make decisions, and build solutions.

Nice To Haves

• AWS is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and work with a team of engineers, make decisions, and build solutions.
• Design and code APIs, including REST services with Swagger UI.
• Set up and work with GitLab pipelines using tools such as SONAR and Veracode.
• Collaborate with UX, Design, and Product to understand and build enterprise authentication applications from scratch.
• Deliver functional, testable code with thorough unit testing to support an effective DevOps pipeline.
• Contribute to and enforce coding standards.
• Participate in code reviews through the Git flow process.
• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
