Java Software Engineer II

As a Software Engineer II at OpenEye, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the OpenEye Web Services (OWS) using a combination of technical skills and interpersonal abilities. You will work with a creative team that utilizes cutting-edge technology in the Cloud Video and Security space. Your role will involve developing software, reviewing development requests, collaborating with various departments, and assisting other developers when needed. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field, 2-5 years of professional experience, and proficiency in Java or a similar programming language. Strong problem-solving skills, a test-first attitude, and excellent communication and teamwork abilities are also required. The position offers a competitive salary range of $90,000 - $125,000 annually, along with additional perks such as stock purchase options and comprehensive benefits.

• Develop software including feature additions, modifications, bug fixes, and unit tests
• Work with Team Leader or Product Owner to address issues
• Review development requests and make decisions on the most efficient way to proceed
• Interface with various departments to gather information for software development
• Assist other developers with questions and provide guidance on processes, coding practices, and algorithms
• Communicate tasks and ideas effectively to fellow developers, management, departments, and customers
• Analyze input requirements and determine the best approach to meet each requirement
• Review software code written by others to ensure compliance with company standards
• Stay updated with the latest technologies and practices

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
• 2-5 years professional experience

• Pay range of $90,000 - $125,000 annually
