About The Position

Capgemini is seeking a hands-on Fullstack Technical Lead to lead the design, development, and delivery of enterprise applications. The work is approximately 70% React frontend development and 30% Java backend development. The role involves direct technical contribution to complex features, ownership of technical delivery, and leadership of a distributed onshore-offshore development team. The lead collaborates with business stakeholders, architects, business analysts, project managers, product owners, QA teams, DevOps teams, and delivery partners to translate business needs into technical solutions and coordinate delivery. Excellent verbal and written communication is essential for explaining design decisions and maintaining alignment across distributed teams.

The role includes designing scalable React applications and developing Java and Spring Boot services, as well as guiding engineering quality, performance, reliability, build and release practices, and continuous improvement. The lead also mentors developers and maintains technical designs, API documentation, and operational guidance.

The posted base compensation range is 110000 to 139992. Requirements

• 12 or more years of development experience.
• Strong expertise in React, JavaScript or TypeScript, reusable UI components, state management, and responsive interfaces.
• Practical experience with Java, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, and backend integration.
• Experience leading an onshore-offshore development team and owning technical delivery.
• Hands-on experience delivering software in Agile environments, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions and explain design decisions.
• Ability to collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, and delivery partners.

Responsibilities

• Lead hands-on fullstack development, focusing approximately 70% on React frontend development and 30% on Java backend services, and contribute directly to complex features and technical problem-solving.
• Lead the design and development of scalable React applications using JavaScript or TypeScript, reusable components, state management, responsive interfaces, and API integrations.
• Develop and maintain Java and Spring Boot services, implement RESTful APIs, and support secure, reliable integration between frontend applications and backend systems.
• Translate business and functional requirements into technical designs, implementation tasks, estimates, and acceptance criteria with business analysts and architects.
• Guide a distributed onshore-offshore development team, establish clear ownership, coordinate work across time zones, and ensure effective handoffs and consistent engineering practices.
• Coordinate with project managers, product owners, and QA teams to plan sprint commitments, manage technical dependencies, resolve blockers, and communicate delivery risks promptly.
• Participate in Agile delivery activities, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives across onshore-offshore teams.
• Conduct design and code reviews, enforce coding standards, and promote unit testing, integration testing, secure coding, and maintainable application design.
• Diagnose issues across frontend and backend layers, improve application performance, and support root-cause analysis and production issue resolution.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams on continuous integration and delivery pipelines, automated quality checks, environment readiness, and reliable deployments.
• Mentor developers and provide knowledge-sharing and practical guidance on Java, React, debugging, and design practices.
• Facilitate technical discussions, explain complex concepts to technical and nontechnical audiences, and communicate progress, risks, dependencies, and decisions.
• Maintain technical designs, API documentation, and operational guidance, and identify opportunities to improve development practices and onshore-offshore collaboration.
