Purpose of the role is to design, develop and improve software, utilising various engineering methodologies, that provides business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues. Accountabilities include the development and delivery of high-quality software solutions using industry-aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools, ensuring that code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance. The role requires cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives. Collaboration with peers, participation in code reviews, and promotion of a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing are expected. The individual must stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations and actively contribute to the organization’s technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth. Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions, along with the implementation of effective unit testing practices, are also key. The position will have an impact on the work of related teams within the area and will partner with other functions and business areas. Barclays Services Corp. seeks Java Developer in Whippany, NJ (multiple positions available) to analyze user requirements and translate them to system design and functional specification. The role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining user interface and back-end services for an existing Java-based platform for Prime Transaction Management to meet business needs and performance requirements. The developer will conduct Unit, integration, and system testing to ensure the quality and functionality of the software. Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other developers, is crucial. The position participates in the full software development lifecycle, including testing, deployment, and maintenance, and ensures activities and duties are executed in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise-Wide Risk Management Framework, and internal Barclays Policies and Policy Standards.

Requirements
