About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Java Developer to join our team for a 15-month project. This role involves troubleshooting and enhancing code using Java, Python, scripting, and DevOps practices. The ideal candidate will have experience with CI/CD pipelines, Gen AI tools like Kiro and Amazon Queue, and Jenkins. This position is full-time, on-site, Monday through Friday in Washington DC, with a standard on-call rotation approximately every 4-5 weeks.

Requirements

• Familiarity with troubleshooting and enhancing code using Java, Python, and scripting.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices.
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Gen AI tools such as Kiro and Amazon Queue.
• Experience with Jenkins.
• Understanding of the entire software development lifecycle pipeline.
• Testing experience.
• Ability to work with users for troubleshooting issues.
• Heavy Java programming experience.
• Experience resolving Java issues and performing JDK migration.
• Ability to use and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines.
• Intermediate experience with Jenkins, including understanding its functionality, setting up new jobs, and managing pipelines.
• Experience with troubleshooting and improving code.

Nice To Haves

• Python scripting experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with Kiro and Amazon Queue is a plus.
• Experience with AWS is a nice-to-have.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and enhance code using Java, Python, scripting, and DevOps.
• Work with CI/CD pipelines and Gen AI tools such as Kiro and Amazon Queue.
• Utilize Jenkins for pipeline management, including setting up new jobs.
• Investigate and fix issues with existing code.
• Enhance existing code.
• Upgrade JDK from version 8 to 21.
• Perform heavy Java programming.
• Resolve Java issues and assist with JDK migration.
• Use the existing pipeline and troubleshoot any issues.
• Support users for troubleshooting issues.
• Perform new development (30%), enhancement (20%), and troubleshooting (30-40%).
