Java Developer - Chicago
About The Position
RedMane Technology LLC is seeking a full-time Java Developer/Analyst to join their growing Chicago-based practice. In this role, you will provide system analysis, development, and production support as part of a project team. You will design functional and technical approaches to create and customize functionality, and be responsible for executing testing, training, supporting user testing, and providing customer support post-implementation. RedMane is an application software consulting and systems integration company that delivers software solutions across the United States and Canada by building new applications, implementing cloud and packaged systems, and modernizing legacy systems. They pride themselves on a collaborative culture and delivering solutions that meet or exceed client needs for their mission-critical systems.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of Java 8 based Web Application development experience with a strong understanding of Core Java fundamentals.
- Experience with WebSphere or any application server (JBoss, Tomcat, etc.).
- Expertise in working with JSP and servlets.
- Strong OOD OOP skills.
- Experience using modern front-end frameworks (JavaScript) like Angular, React, Vue, etc.
- Experience in remediating vulnerabilities identified in penetration testing.
- Ability to articulate and document a detailed technical design.
- Analyze and revise existing system logic and provides concise documentation.
- Provide support and enhancements to legacy production systems.
- Perform review of code from team members and ability to mentor team members.
- Hands-on experience with SQL server, DB2 knowledge a plus.
- Work both independently and as a strong team player to deliver quality technology solutions.
- Minimum education required is a Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or directly related field.
