About The Position
Language Trainers is seeking a freelance Japanese language tutor to provide customized general-language instruction to two brothers, ages 12 and 19, in Columbia, South Carolina. The students are beginners and are interested in Japanese because they love languages and see it as useful for business. The course consists of 30 total hours, delivered as fifteen two-hour lessons, twice per week on any weekday. Lessons are planned at Lexington County Public Library, 5440 Augusta Road, Lexington, SC 29072. The schedule and location may be flexible depending on the tutor’s availability. The start date is as soon as possible, and the hourly rate is negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
Requirements
- Be a native Japanese speaker and/or hold a relevant teaching qualification.
- Have experience as a language teacher, translator, or interpreter.
- Have a valid work permit or visa.
- Live within 20 miles of the specified location.
Responsibilities
- Teach general Japanese to two beginner-level students in a two-to-one format.
- Provide fifteen two-hour lessons, totaling 30 hours.
- Arrange lessons twice per week on weekdays, with schedule and location potentially flexible based on availability.
