About The Position
Language Trainers is an international language training company seeking a freelance Japanese Teacher for a beginner/elementary level student in Birmingham, Alabama. The course is general Japanese, one-to-one format, with a total of 30 hours. Lessons are two hours long, once per week. The student prefers lessons at their location (35242, Birmingham, Alabama) and is available on weekdays around 6 PM, or anytime on weekends. The student is 25-34 years old and aims to reach business level Japanese to work in Japan. The start date is preferred in late August or early September. Schedule and location may be flexible based on availability. This is a freelance, part-time position.
Requirements
- Native Japanese speaker and/or hold a relevant teaching qualification.
- Experience as a language teacher, translator, or interpreter.
- Valid work permit/visa.
- Live within 20 miles of Birmingham, Alabama (35242).
- Ability to submit a CV with references.
- Provide availability.
- Provide earliest possible start date.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one Japanese language instruction to a beginner/elementary level student.
- Tailor lessons to the student's motivation of reaching business level Japanese for future work in Japan.
- Conduct two-hour lessons once per week.
- Be available for lessons on weekdays around 6 PM or anytime on weekends.
- Potentially travel to the client's location in Birmingham, Alabama (35242).
