About The Position

Language Trainers is an international language training company working with freelance teachers of 99+ languages in hundreds of cities worldwide. Founded in 2004, our motto is Any Language, Anytime, Anywhere (and Online). We provide customized language training to professionals and private students for work, family, and travel purposes. We are currently looking for a freelance Japanese Teacher for one of our clients in Washington, D.C, United States. The course type is General, with a two-to-one format, totaling 20 hours. Each session is two-hours long and will take place in 20009, Washington. The student is a beginner, aged 35-44, and is interested in learning Japanese for fun. The student's schedule is once per week, on any weekday at the same time every week, between 10 am and 3 pm, with evenings possible on Tuesday only. The preferred start date is 2026-11-01.

Requirements

• Be a native Japanese speaker and/or hold a relevant teaching qualification
• Have experience as a language teacher, translator or interpreter
• Have a valid work permit/visa
• Live within 20 miles of the specified location
• Submit CV (with references, if available)
• Submit availability
• Submit earliest possible start date

Responsibilities

• Provide customized language training to a beginner student.
• Conduct two-to-one sessions.
• Teach Japanese language for fun.
