The Janitor is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and organized manufacturing environment. This role ensures production areas, offices, restrooms, and common spaces meet cleanliness and safety standards to support efficient operations and employee well-being.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous janitorial or industrial cleaning experience preferred.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Dependable with good attendance
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

  • Clean and sanitize restrooms, breakrooms, offices, and common areas daily.
  • Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum floors throughout the facility.
  • Empty trash and recycling containers and properly dispose of waste.
  • Clean windows, mirrors, and surfaces.
  • Dust equipment, ledges, and fixtures.
  • Maintain cleaning supplies and report inventory needs.
  • Follow safety guidelines when using cleaning chemicals and equipment.
  • Report maintenance or safety issues to management.
  • Support special cleaning projects as needed (deep cleaning, spill response, etc.).
  • Maintain organized janitorial storage areas.
  • Follow all plant safety policies and PPE requirements.
  • Properly handle and store chemicals.
  • Maintain awareness of forklift and equipment traffic in production areas.
