About The Position

This position ensures the cleanliness and tidiness of common areas, hallways, and other assigned areas. Housekeeping/janitorial staff may also fill in for absences or vacations in other areas within the department, help maintain accurate weekly inventories, and rotate to clean the plant during downtime.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent is not required but is beneficial.
• Willingness to learn all jobs in the assigned area.
• Good communication skills.
• For current employees, good attendance (less than 4 points).
• Ability to work with little supervision.
• Ability to work with a diverse group of employees.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds with assistance.

Responsibilities

• Perform janitorial tasks to maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of common areas, hallways, and other assigned areas.
• Adhere to all safety requirements, including PPE, preventing and reporting unsafe acts and conditions, Lockout-Tagout procedures, and Process Safety Management-related matters.
• Maintain proper documentation on required paperwork.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Fill in for absences or vacations in other areas within the department as needed.
• Help maintain accurate weekly inventories.
• Rotate to clean the plant during downtime.
