About The Position

The Taber Sanitation Technician will contribute to the success of Frito Lay Canada by playing a critical role in the “move” portion of our business. The Warehouse Technician will be required to ensure the cleanliness of employee welfare areas as well as ensure they are performing their job efficiently and effectively.

Requirements

• General upkeep of workplace cleanliness with attention to detail
• Mature, responsible & demonstrating a high level of ownership
• Ensure a high level of safety; LOTO as needed, wearing all appropriate PPE
• Heavy Lifting & working in hot, noisy conditions
• Strong team skills/working with the other operators, janitorial staff & sanitation team members
• Working in a self-directed efficient manner when working alone
• Able to work under pressure and be a problem solver
• Strong year-to-year attendance performance

Nice To Haves

• Prior training or experience in janitorial or sanitation would be an asset

Responsibilities

• Responsible for conducting a high level of cleaning of employee welfare areas including lunchrooms, clean room, hallways, office spaces (that are unlocked), meeting rooms, external ground, as well as ALL site washrooms
• Safe use of sanitation & janitorial cleaning chemicals, respecting all safe use policies that apply
• Maintaining an organized & clean set of janitorial tools & storage closets
• Ensuring related documentation of cleaning activities is complete, & using that documentation to prioritize areas that may not be completed yet
• Supporting the sanitation department sporadically
• Responsible for supporting manufacturing due to emergencies or with cleaning during line changeovers
• Supporting with Quality Food Safety CAPA items
