Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Proven experience in a janitorial or custodial role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies, and their safe and effective use.
Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and pressure washers.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good physical stamina and the ability to stand, walk, bend, lift (up to 50 lbs), and carry for extended periods.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues.
Must be reliable, punctual, and have a strong work ethic.
Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

Perform daily cleaning and sanitization of production areas, offices, restrooms, break rooms, and common areas.
Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste according to company guidelines.
Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum floors using appropriate cleaning equipment and solutions.
Clean and sanitize surfaces, fixtures, and equipment to maintain hygiene standards.
Replenish restroom supplies (toilet paper, soap, paper towels, etc.) and ensure they are well-stocked.
Dust furniture, ledges, and other surfaces.
Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors.
Monitor and report any maintenance issues, damage, or safety hazards to management.
Assist with minor repairs or general maintenance tasks as needed, such as changing lightbulbs.
Follow all safety procedures and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and communicate reorder needs.
Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
