About The Position

The National Western Center (NWC) is seeking a Janitorial Tech to maintain the cleanliness and supplies of its 250-acre campus. This role involves using cleaning equipment, performing basic maintenance, supervising event and maintenance janitorial staff, and collaborating on waste diversion initiatives. The position offers opportunities for professional development within a collaborative and entrepreneurial team environment, contributing to the growth of a new events hub and innovation campus in Denver, Colorado.

Nice To Haves

  • Understanding of proper waste disposal methods, recycling processes, and relevant regulations.
  • Attention to detail with cleaning and processes.
  • Experience with equipment use and training.
  • Experience in Arena, Convention, or Stadium environments is helpful.

Responsibilities

  • Manage stocking of supplies in key locations, setting par levels with manager, and ordering and distributing supplies.
  • Perform daily cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming as time allows.
  • Manage cleaning and upkeep of large equipment.
  • Supervise staffing companies used for events to ensure efficiency and task completion.
  • Audit staffing companies' cleaning, schedules, and training to ensure they meet standards.
  • Plan, schedule, and execute periodic deep/maintenance cleaning of venue spaces and assets in coordination with events.
  • Develop and implement operational plans for all cleaning processes, testing them to ensure cleaning standards are met.
  • Adhere to and comply with safety and other governing agency regulations.
  • Track and report key information.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
